Plantation

STH Group Indonesia is a leading agribusiness company operating in four provinces in Indonesia, including Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, Jambi, and Banten. As part of our commitment to sustainability and community empowerment, we have implemented many plasma programs in partnership with independent smallholders. These program aims to integrate farmers into our operations and promote sustainable farming practices.

At STH, we also prioritize the responsible management of our oil palm plantations to protect the environment and comply with government regulations. To prevent fires and ensure a safe operational environment, we provide regular training and preparation for our human resources. Additionally, we have invested in complete infrastructure, such as main roads, block roads, culverts, box culverts, and bridges, to optimize harvesting and transportation of palm fruit to our mills.

As part of our best plantation practices, we have implemented several strategies to promote sustainability and protect our crops from pests and erosion. For example, we plant legumes as cover crops to retain soil moisture and prevent erosion. We also plant beneficial plants such as Turnera Ulmifolia, Casia Cobanensis, and Antigonon Leptopus to control palm frond-eating insects. Furthermore, we maintain barn owls for rodent control without the use of pesticides, promoting a natural and eco-friendly approach to pest management.

At STH, we aspire to make a positive impact in the agribusiness industry and remain committed to promoting sustainability, community empowerment, and responsible farming practices.
